In case you're wondering what I've been up to and why I haven't been stocking, I want to assure you that I've been sewing and knitting up a storm! I've been making Christmas gifts for loved ones right now (with a couple customs mixed in). But never fear! I'll be back to stocking after Christmas. I'm planning on a big sale to start out the new year!

Well, I'm not keeping up am I?

I had a couple great stockings but let things slip in the last month or so while I have been spending my crafting moments making gifts for family and friends for Christmas. I have been working on re-organizing my homepage and am planning some really fun things for January. I'm looking forward to getting more stocked and showing off some new ideas.

Well, yesterday I went for a "soft opening" of YOD. I decided that there wasn't really a reason to keep waiting to list the stuff I had ready, although I knew I wanted to do some other cool stuff before I was really ready to have a "Grand Opening". Knowing that would be a few more weeks, I listed stuff but didn't do any advertising or fun stuff like that. I was surprised to see that at one point I had more people on my site than anywhere else on HC!! Very cool! Hopefully sales will pick up and I'll see things moving forward. When we get back from vacation, I hope to have everything set to go.

Preparing for the Grand Opening!

Over the last few months, my hobbies of sewing and knitting have evolved into a little business for me. I enjoy sewing for my own family and friends and so doing a little to sell seemed like a natural progression. I've had limited sewing time lately, but I've been knitting, so that's mostly what you'll see when I open. I plan to use this blog to give info on stocking dates and upcoming offerings.
